Each year, graduating students from the VCA-FA program plan and execute their graduate exhibition in the Marianne van Silfhout Gallery. Through courses Professional Practice 1 & 2, students learn exhibition application and curatorial practices in addition to developing online portfolios and art business plans. Assisted by the gallery curator, the emerging artists present their work to a panel of professional artists and alumni who critically evaluate and select the work to be on display. The annual graduate exhibition is a celebration of two years of artistic skill development as well as an introduction to the community.
The theme of this year's exhibition, "Hello, My Name Is..." speaks to the students' desire to introduce themselves, their style, and their creative capabilities to the world. Visitors can expect to see examples of oil and acrylic painting, printmaking and bookmaking, mixed media sculpture, and more!
Artists on exhibition include:
- Laura Fuentes- Roman,
- Loren Frame,
