September marks the beginning of another exciting school year, and St. Lawrence College (SLC) is ready to welcome students back for a mix of alternate delivery and in-person classes this fall in Kingston, Brockville, and Cornwall. Classes will commence for full-time programs on Wednesday, September 9.

While campuses remain closed to the general public, SLC looks forward to having approximately 25 per cent of its student body back, as well as supporting program staff and faculty, primarily in health sciences and programs with applied components, such as labs and other hands-on simulations. Details on specific programs and their delivery can be found here.

SLC has implemented numerous health and safety measures, including physical distancing, stringent cleaning, clear signage, and other protective measures. People are asked to self-assess prior to visiting campus, and anyone who suspects they are ill or who has symptoms will not be allowed in the building. Hand-washing protocols and stations will be highlighted, and the reduced number of people on campus will allow for proper physically distance in academic settings. Anyone coming to campus, employees and students, must complete specific training, which includes a self-assessment.

“Although this year will look different, I am proud of our hard-working faculty and staff who continue to put our students first. We look forward to using the power of technology to engage students studying remotely in order to provide them quality education, services and supports, and engagement opportunities indicative of the overall SLC experience,” said Glenn Vollebregt, SLC President and CEO. “Those returning to campus can be sure that proper physical distancing will be observed, and that we will continue to follow public health protocols. Our number one priority is our students’ safety and providing a learning experience that supports their academic and career dreams.”
