St. Lawrence College President and CEO Receives King Charles III Coronation Medal

St. Lawrence College is thrilled to announce that Glenn Vollebregt, President and CEO, has been honoured with the prestigious King Charles III Coronation Medal.  

Vollebregt was nominated for his dedication to SLC and contributions to the communities of Eastern Ontario by the Honorable Nolan Quinn, Minister of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security, and MPP, Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry.   

"I’m incredibly honored to be awarded with the King Charles III Coronation Medal,” Vollebregt said.  “St. Lawrence College is all about community, and I feel privileged to be recognized alongside remarkable individuals who have dedicated themselves to creating meaningful transformation in our community and country. I want to express my gratitude to my colleagues and community partners who invest their time, passion, and energy in supporting St. Lawrence College and our place in the communities we serve. This award is a testament to our shared commitment and is, at its core, a celebration of community spirit and collaborative achievement."

Congratulations on this tremendous honour, Glenn!” 

History of the Coronation Medal 

On May 3, 2023, to mark the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, an historic event and the first of its kind in almost 70 years, the Government announced its intention to award 30,000 Coronation Medals to those who have made significant contributions to the country, province, territory, region, or community, or an achievement abroad that brings great benefit to Canada. 
The Coronation Medal commemorates the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III as King of Canada. The medal is administered by the Chancellery of Honours at Rideau Hall. Visit the Government of Canada website for more information.
