Cole

I’m a Graphic Designer based in Ottawa, who wants to specialize in User Interface Design. This September, I’ll be at Sheridan College taking the Honours Bachelor of Interaction Design course to further develop my skills. My goal is to work for a large technology company like Microsoft or Google once I graduate. Outside of design, I love skiing, curling and spending time with friends. As I continue to expand my skills in the design industry, I’m excited to take on new challenges in the coming future.

Brand Identity Design 2

OBJECTIVE

The goal of this project is to redesign the brand identity of the pre-existing charity
organization named “Alberta Music Education Foundation”. The organization was in much
need of a design overhaul as the original lacked personality, emotion, or a sense of unique
style.

DESCRIPTION

The brand icon combines Alberta’s provincial flower the wild rose with a musical note, which symbolizes the priority the organization has for love and connection with others. The brand also includes a guidelines book to ensure proper usage, maintain its identity, and provide examples of the company’s core values and objectives. AMEF’s brand identity is applied across various mediums, including letters, car wraps, business cards, and guitar picks.

Interaction Design 4

OBJECTIVE

The goal of redesigning the MyAnimeList app is to modernize the interface and improve usability by merging redundant pages, making buttons clearer, and optimizing the homepage for mobile. Expanding the navigation menu was very important as the original design completely under used this common feature.

DESCRIPTION

These updates enhance the overall mobile application’s user experience and will increase MyAnimeList’s user base in the future. This mock-up showcases the sign-in, navigation, home, list, and anime information pages.
