Exploring Indigenous Wisdom: A Journey into Nutrition and Culture  
In a memorable session, esthetician students at SLC had the unique opportunity to blend learning with cultural immersion in the Waasaabiidaasamose Indigenous Centre and the outdoor Tipi facilitated by Mary Ann Lyons. This enriching experience was part of their ESTH 9, Aging and Nutrition class, which took a deeper look at traditional ways of being, learning, and understanding nutrition through an Indigenous lens.  
Congratulations to the SCTL Program Graduates 2023-24!
The School of Contemporary Teaching & Learning (SCTL) held its annual tri-campus SCTL Program Graduation on June 11, 2024, this year as faculty, staff, and academic leaders gathered on Kingston campus to celebrate the achievements of program participants that successfully completed a teaching/learning program during the 2023-24 academic year. This year’s celebration included graduates from four programs including: Empowered Educator Program (EEP), Digital Learning Program (DLP), Teaching Effectiveness Program (TEP), & Contemporary Educator Program (CEP). The SCTL is pleased to share that we had 72 graduates (20 FT Faculty, 37 PT/PL Faculty, 14 Support Staff, & 1 Administrator) this year across our multiple programs!
Celebrating National Indigenous History Month Through Healthcare Policy at SLC
During the first week of June, in honor of National Indigenous History Month in Canada, Dr. Hasan Kettaneh collaborated with Mary Ann Lyons, Indigenous Student Advisor, to bring a unique educational experience to his Healthcare Policy classes at St. Lawrence College
