St. Lawrence College (SLC) is pleased to introduce this year’s nominees for Colleges Ontario’s annual Premier’s Awards. The awards recognize outstanding contributions to society from graduates of Ontario colleges. Winners will be announced, and awards will be presented at a gala held in Toronto on November 25, 2024.
SLC Launches Residential Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic Program
St. Lawrence College (SLC) is proud to announce the launch of its Residential Air Conditioning Systems Mechanics apprenticeship program that officially opened its doors for in-class learning earlier this month. SLC will celebrate the program launch with a special event on Monday, August 19. In attendance will be apprenticeship students as well as local employers whose efforts have contributed to the introduction of this program.

SLC Wins Gold Medal from CASE for Alumni Convocation Video
St. Lawrence College (SLC) is proud to announce that it has been won a Gold Medal from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) in the category of Alumni Relations Initiatives for its 2023 alumni convocation video. CASE, an international professional organization with over 90,000 members, represents professionals in Advancement, Marketing, Communications, and Recruitment in education. The CASE Circle of Excellence awards are highly competitive, making this recognition a significant achievement for SLC.
St. Lawrence College Proud of New Innovative Partnership to Train Healthcare Professionals
St. Lawrence College (SLC) has partnered with the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville and Maple View Lodge in Athens, Ontario to provide real-world experience and training for Personal Support Worker (PSW) students. Maple View Lodge is building a new facility (opening in 2025), that will greatly expand the number of beds. The St. Lawrence College PSW program will be delivered onsite at the Maple View Lodge facility, using a living classroom model. This will allow students enrolled in the program to have an immersive learning environment, becoming part of the facility from the beginning of their program, learning daily as part of the care team.
